Upcoming Documentary: The Untold Story of Neverland. 31-03-'09
Coastal View News ran a story on March 26, 2009 discussing a fresh documentary produced by Larry Nimmer. The documentary, titled "Michael Jackson: The Untold Story of Neverland" has been a work-in-progress since 2005 when Mr. Nimmer was called to shoot footage at Neverland and to subsequently testify in court as part of the defense's case.
Nimmer is part of a demonstrative evidence company and has put together more than 1,000 multimedia exhibits for a wide array of court cases in California. In the Michael Jackson trial, Mr. Nimmer was called, in part, to record raw footage which directly contradicted key allegations from the Arvizos--mainly involving the interior alarms and security in place at Neverland.
This new documentary, which is currently being shopped to networks including VH1, "goes beyond the gates of Neverland and into the life of the accuser, Gavin Arvizo, and his family...it is revealed that the downtrodden family has anything but a squeaky clean past, and that the decision to turn on Jackson could have been spurred on by ulterior motives to collect money from the man that the family once considered its celebrity savior." In addition to examining the questionable history of the Arvizo family and the premises of Neverland, the documentary also explores the media at large and the Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office--spearheaded at the time by Thomas Sneddon. Nimmer is said to narrate the film in a "soft-spoken, matter-of-fact" manner and is also expected to include outtakes from the Martin Bashir documentary which paint an entirely different picture on the 2003 accusers and on Michael Jackson.
Larry Nimmer's forthcoming documentary is a much welcomed counterpart to the other in-production book and film by tabloid gossipmonger, Ian Halperin. Followers of Michael Jackson may remember Ian Halperin as the person who claimed for months that Michael Jackson was half blind, near mute, and gravely ill with a string of life-threatening diseases including Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, lung disease, severe emphysema, gastrointestinal bleeding, and so forth.
After news broke that Michael Jackson would be performing in concert this summer and that he underwent an intensive five-hour, 50-point medical examine to ensure perfect physical fitness, Ian Halperin unleashed a whole new line of unfounded Michael Jackson rumors ranging from plastic surgery, to adoption, and more. Ian was most recently called out by Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska, whom Ian claimed hired Michael Jackson to perform a June concert--like all of Ian's past claims about Michael Jackson, there was no truth to this rumor, either.

Message Of Condolence To Goody Family. 30-03-'09
Following numerous speculations by the press if Michael Jackson would attend the funeral of UK reality tv star Jade Goody, the publicist of Goody's family Max Clifford, told Sky News Online that the stories were wide of the mark.
"Michael was never, ever coming, it was never on the agenda. He also feels the focus of the funeral should be about her and her family.
But he has sent a lovely message of condolence to her family, that she was a brave girl and that her message will save a lot of lives, and he will be sending flowers."
Michael Jackson heard about Jade Goody after his brother Jermaine appeared alongside her in the 2007 UK Celebrity Big Brother. He called her while in London to promote his forthcoming gigs at the O2 arena as Jade, a long-time fan of his, was being treated in the Royal Marsden Hospital while she was battling cancer.

Lionel Richie: MJ Still Has The Magic. 28-03-'09
Lionel Richie (59) and Michael Jackson worked on the 1985 charity hit 'We Are The World' and have remained good friends. Michael even served as godfather to Richie’s adopted daughter Nicole.
“I speak to him quite a bit now that he has become Papa Jackson. Realising that they [children] don’t come with a manual means that for Michael I am now the wise old philosopher. He’ll call me and say – ‘Li’o’nel how do I do this?’ – so I’m talking to him now more than ever and I’m glad of that because I need to get him back into what he does best.”
That means putting Michael Jackson back on stage and Richie is delighted the King of Pop has sold out his huge 50-date residency at The O2 arena.
“I’m working along with that whole campaign group, I’m with him.
I’ll say to you what I said to him, no-one in our business ever died because of what they did on stage – they have always died because of what they did off stage.
No matter what problems I have had in my life, I can walk on stage and I don’t have those problems for two hours.
I just think what he needs to do is remind himself of that, and it will take five or six shows for it to click, but this is the most dynamic performer of our time and for him to not be on stage is a crime.”
Asked whether Michael Jackson still has the moonwalk magic he replied:
“Last time I could see him, hell yeah.
He’s not that 25-year-old or 30-year-old anymore so he will have to discover some things about himself that he didn’t quite want to face up to I’m sure, but what he does have is a mound of hit records.
He has to just get it in his head that we (as performers) are on that stage because people want to see us singing those songs.
Whether you moonwalk or skywalk or float in from the back of the stage, that’s all extra added attractions, but the most important thing is to pick up the microphone and sing Thriller, that’s all that matters.
Speaking from an artist’s point of view, there is an insecurity of being away for a while, even with me being off stage for a year and a half there is a little butterfly that goes off and you wonder ‘do I know what I’m doing?’.
He has been off a lot longer than that so the butterfly will be there. But if I have to drag him on stage myself, I will.”

Michael Jackson Appoints New Management. 28-03-'09
Michael Jackson, universally acclaimed as the King of Pop, today named Leonard Rowe, the legendary concert promoter from Atlanta, as his new Manager.
Rowe succeeds Dr. Tohme Tohme.
"I am very pleased that Leonard has accepted my offer to manage my business affairs during this
important period in my career," stated Jackson. He added, "Leonard Rowe has been a long-time
friend and business associate whose judgment I have come to trust."
Rowe has worked closely with Michael and the Jackson Family since promoting the family’s "Off the
Wall Tour" in March 1979. "For the past 30 years, I have had a great feeling of admiration for
Michael and his family," said Rowe. "We worked hard together and made history on the ‘Off the
Wall Tour.’ I am grateful to Michael for this opportunity and look forward to once again working
with my friend to ensure a successful and historic comeback," stated an enthusiastic Rowe.
Rowe has been a staunch advocate for African-American rights in the concert promotion industry for
the past 35 years. His landmark antitrust and civil rights litigation against nearly every concert
promoter and agency in the music industry won the promoter a no-nonsense reputation for challenging
the status quo. Renowned Civil Rights leader Dr. Joseph Lowery recently said, "Rowe has fought
hard to preserve the rights of both African-American promoters and artists in the music industry
against rampant industry discriminatory practices."
Rowe has dedicated his career to successfully promoting and touring hundreds of acts, including the Jacksons, Prince, R. Kelly and the late Marvin Gaye.

Michael Jackson Memorabilia. 26-03-'09
A Hollywood auction house hired by Jackson to sell off the contents of his shuttered Neverland Ranch said it is pressing ahead with plans to put some 2,000 items on the block in April, despite the pop legend's surprise bid this month to halt the sale.
Some of the glitziest items will be on display to the public at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square this week, including one of Jackson's signature black fedoras, two of his MTV Video Music Awards, costumes he wore on tour in the 1980s and several crystal-encrusted gloves.
Jackson filed a lawsuit in early March, claiming that he had never given permission for the sale of many "priceless and irreplaceable" items.
The auction house, Julien's Auctions, fired back in court papers, saying that Jackson's representatives had been deeply and enthusiastically involved in the sale for many months, until a sudden reversal last month.
Julien said he didn't believe the threat, and the two sides have since agreed to let some of Jackson's property continue to travel on a publicity tour in advance of an April 3 court hearing. The auction is scheduled for April 21.
Julien estimated that the sale could bring in $10 million to $20 million — money that Jackson could desperately use.
Jackson will get any profits from the sale, minus the auction house commissions.
"There will never be another artist or celebrity like Michael Jackson," Julien said. "He has the most dedicated fans of anyone we have ever worked with."
See here the images of the items.

Michael Jackson Wants To Ride An Elephant On Stage. 26-03-'09
Michael Jackson is to ride an elephant on stage. The singer has baffled organizers of his "This Is It" London residency by requesting the enormous beast in a bid to impress fans.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "He hopes to make it the most spectacular show ever. For the jungle section, he wants to ride out on an African elephant with panthers led on gold chains. Parrots and other birds will fly behind him. If it goes to plan it will look incredible."
Despite animal welfare laws banning the use of some domestic creatures in shows the 50-year-old singer is determined to make it happen when he takes to the stage at The O2.
The source added: "He's desperate to find a way around it."
As well as dozens of animals, Michael also wants to hire 100 Masai warriors for the 50-date extravaganza.
His managers are said to be concerned about the singer's wild ideas and fear the costs and insurance premiums will spiral out of control.
Around 750,000 tickets for Michael's record-breaking shows have been sold and his residency opens on July 8.

Jackson Invites "Harry Potter" Stars To Opening Night Of His Concert. 25-03-'09
Michael Jackson has invited stars of the "Harry Potter" films to the opening night of his "This Is It" shows. The three main stars from the wizard franchise - Daniel Radcliffe, 19, Emma Watson, 18, and Rupert Grint, 20 - have reportedly been offered access all areas passes for the start of Michael's "This Is It" farewell residency at London's O2 arena on July 8.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Michael is a huge fan of the 'Harry Potter' books and films."
"He was utterly enchanted by the magic of JK Rowling's novels and owns all the movies and he has bought memorabilia for his collection."
Michael is said to be such a big "Harry Potter" fan he owns a first edition copy of JK Rowling's debut novel "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," which is worth around $20,000.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed Michael will travel to each show on a boat, because he is afraid of helicopters and doesn't like to publicly ride in cars.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "He loves the idea of turning up by boat - he thinks it's much more glamorous and very James Bond."
Around 750,000 tickets for Michael's record-breaking 50 shows at the O2 arena sold out in a single morning earlier this month.

Russian Billionaire Denies Halperin Rumours. 25-03-'09
Representatives for Russian businessman and billionaire Oleg Deripaska have denied reports that Michael Jackson is set to perform at a private party for him.
Earlier this month, author Ian Halperin had spread rumours that Michael Jackson had negotiated an appearance at Deripaska's party in April and should get £2 million for the performance.
Halperin further alleged the entertainer had demanded a team of nine doctors be on-hand throughout the performance.
But all claims have been dismissed by Sergey Babichenko, a spokesman for Deripaska's office, who said the reports are "completely untrue and sheer fantasy".
"A number of Russian and international media recently has published rumours about Michael Jackson's alleged forthcoming performance at Oleg Deripaska's party. This expressly false information has nothing to do with reality."
Earlier this year, Halperin had claimed that Michael Jackson is seriously ill and might be close to death...

Ticket Sales Break Records. 24-03-'09
Tixdaq, a research and data firm specializing in ticket resale information, has just released figures reviewing the ticket resale market for the Michael Jackson O2 Arena concerts as part of their weekly Tixdaq charts. Their research shows that, for the first time ever, a single artist has topped all three of the weekly ticket resale charts.
The charts, which are published in Music Week (a UK magazine), show how popular concert tickets are for a specific artist. In the past week, Michael Jackson saw the most tickets resold, achieved the highest average price and generated the highest resale grosses.
Steve Machin, the Executive Vice President of Tixdaq had this to say:
Clearly tickets for the record breaking Michael Jackson residency were priced to sell with as the most expensive tickets cost only £75.00. Even now demand is unprecedented, and that is reflected in the resale charts as we are seeing a lot of the best tickets now being resold at their market value. The average resale price for Michael Jackson tickets last week was over £200.00.
With such a strong showing by a wealth of household name performers, what we found to be most surprising was just how strong the Michael Jackson sales have been. Madonna came close in the average price chart, but the volume of Michael Jackson tickets and the resale grosses for the residency far outstripped the competition last week.”

Michael Jackson 'Plans Child Adoption'? 21-03-'09
Michael Jackson is looking to expand his family - he reportedly plans to adopt a child when he stays in the U.K. for his comeback concerts this year.
The Thriller hit-maker already has three children - Prince, 11, Paris Katherine, 10, and Prince Michael II, five. The eldest two are from a brief marriage to his former dermatology nurse Deborah Rowe and it is not known who gave birth to Prince Michael II.
A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Express the King of Pop hopes to adopt a child while staying in Britain for his 50-date residency at London O2 Arena later this year.
The source says, "Before his concerts he has said he wants to spend at least three weeks in Britain, getting used to the time zone and exploring the country. It is during this period that he wants to have meetings about adoption. He has not said if he wants a boy or girl, just that it would be good for the family to have another brother or sister."

Vote for Your Ideal Set List; Concerts Will be Professionally Recorded! 21-03-'09
An official poll has been posted at MichaelJacksonLive.com where fans are able to cast votes for their most desired tracks to be performed live, from Michael Jackson's past studio album releases.
Fans are encouraged to vote now as the poll will close March 24, 2009! It is unclear at this point to what extent the results of this poll will impact the official set list for the London concerts, but it is presumed that by the end of this month the top song choices will be reviewed by Michael Jackson and his team to finalize the planned performance list.
In related news, it has been revealed through the official AEG newsletter that "the Michael Jackson shows are being recorded for future viewing, more details to follow in the upcoming months!" While no additional details are yet available about the plans for these professional recordings, speculation may suggest that one or more shows will be streamed online (e.g., MSN In Concert previously streamed Dangerous: Live in Bucharest), or released on DVD, or aired on television in a similar fashion to the way the Dangerous Bucharest concert aired on HBO to a record number of viewers in the 1990s.
Make sure to vote for your favourite tracks.

Phillips: Ortega Is Working On Show. 20-03-'09
In an interview to Hitfix, AEG Live president/CEO Randy Phllips, revealed some more details on the upcoming concerts at the O2 Arena.
Talking about the huge demand for tickets for the 50 concerts in London (UK) he said:
"We could have done 200 shows if he was willing to live in London for two years."
Phillips also cleared up what Michael Jackson meant at the press conference when saying: "These will be my final show performances in London."
"What he meant was London.
The truth is our deal is in phases and the only phase he's agreed to is London. It's very possible there are other cities. We call it his Capital Market Residency."
He also confirmed that choreographer Kenny Ortega ("Dirty Dancing", "High School Musical") is working with Michael Jackson on the show.
Since the press is raising questions whether or not Michael Jackson will in the end actually take the stage Phillips joked to British The Daily Telegraph:
"If Mike gets too nervous to go on, I'll throw him over my shoulder and carry him on stage. He's light enough."
Phillips also revealed that the tour's tag line, "This is It," came from Michael Jackson himself.
"I said, 'Mikey, that's perfect. This is the place to be'".
And yes, he admitted, he does call Michael Jackson "Mikey."

Phillips Considers World Tour Possible. 19-03-'09
In an interview to German magazine 'Bunte', AEG Live concert promoter Randy Phillips said that after the London concerts a world tour could be a possibility and is in the talks.
First could be concerts in Europe, including concerts in Germany (eg Berlin, Hamburg), then Asia and finally North America.
However, he said this would depend on how well everything in London will take place. There are no contracts yet.
"We don`t want to put Michael under too much pressure".
Thus, they are having a 4-year plan where the world is divied into 4 zones.
Philips also denied rumours about Michael Jackson having health problems. He said that Michael Jackson passed a 5 hour health test by an independent expert:
"He passed all tests with flying colours."
Phillips also confirmed that with his 50 concerts dates in London Michael Jackson will earn about 50-100 million US$.

Michael Jackson Appearance on American Idol? 17-03-'09
Speaking to EXTRA, in a segment which will air tomorrow, Simon Cowell of American Idol and X-Factor fame discussed the possibilities of Michael Jackson making a live appearance on American Idol before the end of this season.
Each year, rumours surface of a possible Michael Jackson appearance on either American Idol or X-Factor. This year, both possibilities have already spread throughout the Internet and, with new concerts and music on the horizon, it seems more of a real possibility this year than any prior year.
Last year, Cowell told BBC2 that every year the producers speak with Jackson's people in hopes that one year he actually will show up as a special guest. In a preview of the interview, Cowell tells EXTRA that "it would be stupid not to do it." However, since all 50 of Michael Jackson's upcoming concert dates sold out within hours after becoming available, it can hardly be argued that Michael Jackson needs the publicity as much as American Idol needs the ratings boost that such an appearance would bring if properly promoted (American Idol's ratings are down approximately 10% from last year, although still the dominant show on American television with 20-24 million viewers each episode).
Last week's Michael Jackson special on American Idol was a big success for the show and for Michael Jackson's catalog. American Idol received the most call-in votes for any top-12/top-13 show since the series began, while many of Michael Jackson's albums climbed towards the top of the Pop music sales charts on iTunes, Amazon, and elsewhere.
Stay tuned.

He is reportedly particularly concerned with fixing his crumbling nose, which the singer claims he has had just two operations on to improve his voice.
Jackson's representatives have denied the 50-year-old singer is planning further cosmetic procedures.

Randy Phillips Speaks To Sky News. 17-03-'09
Randy Phillips, CEO of AEG was interviewed by Sky News in his hotel suite. During the interview he said that when he saw and heard the response to the announcement of ten concerts, and saw the scramble to snap up the tickets, he rang Michael to tell him that they would have to increase the number of concerts to satisfy the demand. Very quickly the number increased to thirty and when a further twenty were added he again called Michael, who was “blown away”, and cried with emotion at the news of the complete sell out of the tickets.
Mr. Phillips explained that he could spend two years in the U.K. and still not satisfy all the demand. He also promised that Michael would be made extremely comfortable during his stay in England, and his life would be as normal as possible.
He said that he was stunned by the reaction of the fans, which was beyond any of his expectations and that 93% of the ticket buyers live in the UK.
Along with the concerts, he added that Michael is also interested in making a 3D version of ‘Thriller’, which could be shown at Halloween, but could also take up to three years to make.

Promoter Hints At New MJ Move. 15-03-'09
AEG Live chief executive and music promoter Randy Phillips said in an interview that Michael Jackson may unveil a new dance move during his upcoming performances in London.
Phillips said Michael Jackson has been working on a dance move he could reveal for the first time during one of his 50 scheduled performances at London's O2 Arena:
"He's working on a new move. Something like the Moonwalk, but different."
Phillips also rejected rumours Jackson decided on the London performances after struggling financially.
"I asked him straight off: why say yes to the tour now? Was it the money? He said 'You know what? My kids are old enough now.'"
The AEG official, whose company operates the O2 Arena, also revealed that the concerts are a "risk" for AEG.
"We're not in this for the money. We're taking a huge risk on Michael. Forgetting tickets, the local economy will get $500 million."

After riling up the crowds all over London, Michael slipped into his surgical mask to shop at "Wacko", a specialty goodies shop that stocks unusual trinkets in Hollywood.
One fan managed to slip inside the paparazzi scrum and grab his autograph before he was ushered to his SUV...lucky!
Michael was protected by umbrellas as he left, he popped his head up over the Escalade's door and gave everyone a timid wave.

Fan Protest On Ticket Sale. 14-03-'09
Due to the extremely high demand for tickets for Michael Jackson's concerts at London's O2 arena, many fans did not succeed to get tickets. Especially the longtime fans, who have supported Michael Jackson for years, are very sad that they don't get a chance to finally see their idol in concert.
So some fans have created a special web site on this topic where you can voice your opinion. For details please visit http://www.mjjtickets.com.
Parts of the web site's statement reads as follows:
"This web site is a platform for Michael Jackson fans, who are angry about the way the ticket sale for Michael's concerts in London was organized! We, as fans, should voice our opinions! Let AEG and Ticketmaster know, that we are dissatisfied with their procedure. Additionally, Michael should be informed about the situation. Even if it may be too late to change the ticketing, all fans should let their voices be heard!
We, as Michael’s fans, have always been there for him! We have supported him through thick and thin. We have been by his side during the hardest of times and have defended him whenever needed. Through this, a very special relationship developed between Michael and his fans.
It has been a dream come true for all of us when Michael announced, that he would perform again! We have waited
for so long! After all those years, we finally had something to look forward to from Michael artistically. Fans from around the globe got ready to make their trip to London. The excitement was back!
But now, after the tickets went on sale and sold out, so many dreams are shattered because many of those true fans couldn’t get tickets! [...]
We are sure that Michael prefers to have his fans see his concerts! [...]"

Auction Can Move Forward. 14-03-'09
Plans to auction off more than 2,000 of Michael Jackson's personal items can reportedly move forward — at least for now.
Attorneys for MJJ Productions, which sued auction house Julien's Auctions last week claiming it had no right to sell Michael Jackson's possessions, have filed documents in court allowing auction plans to proceed until April 3. On that day the original lawsuit is set to be heard.
Attorneys for Julien's Auction House filed the document Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Darren Julien said:
"They've agreed for us to continue to promote the exhibit and auction", adding that he "hopes and expects" that Jackson's team will honour their original contract and allow the auction to be held on April 21, 2009.

More than 650 Tickets Sold Per Minute! 14-03-'09
According to concert organizers, tickets to Michael Jackson's 50-date "This Is It" concert were the fastest selling in London history. How fast? "Tickets sold at a rate of 11 per second, 657 per minute and nearly 40,000 an hour." The managing director of Ticketmaster UK explained: "We often talk about unprecedented demand, but this week we have witnessed a live entertainment phenomenon. We have seen a truly amazing level of interest and demand for tickets from fans from across the world for the Michael Jackson shows at the O2 over the last three days. This was undoubtedly the busiest demand for tickets for an event which we have ever experienced." Randy Phillips (president of AEG) added: "The last week has been the most astonishing I have seen in my career in the entertainment business."
Randy Phillips told Sky News that he spoke with Michael after the concerts sold out in record time, and "he was crying. I could hear it in his voice -- he was choked up." Phillips informed BBC Radio 1 that "Michael's already pretty much put together a list of the dancers he wants. Michael's very engaged now." Organizers have confirmed that, despite site crashes and delays due to demand, more than a million tickets across all 50 dates sold out.

Presale Tickets Sell Out. 11-03-'09
Presale tickets to Michael Jackson's summer concerts at London's O2 Arena have already sold out, despite 11 more dates being added.
Organisers AEG Live said demand for his shows had been overwhelming. So this morning organisers added 17 additional concerts, and further shows are possible.
Beforehand the tour web site had crashed with fans registering for and buying presale tickets. Chris Edmonds, Ticketmaster's managing director, said:
"We have witnessed an unprecedented level of demand for the Michael Jackson concerts at The O2. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, we were unable to facilitate all immediate ticket requests. Apologies to those fans who were unable to log on, but fans should keep on trying to purchase tickets."
Organisers also said half the number of seats to each show have been held back until the official sale starts on Friday, March 13 at 7am. They also said to expect further announcements.
Michael Jackson, who has meanwhile returned to the US for rehearsals, is said to be "ecstatic" about the way the shows are being received.

Phillips explained: “He wants to use some technical effects that have never been seen before.”
Jackson’s arrival in Britain will also be memorable – he has reportedly hired the $7,000-an-hour Challenger 604 plane that featured in the last James Bond film ‘Quantum of Solace’.

Michael Jackson To Release New Music. 11-03-'09
Michael Jackson is set to thrill fans eagerly awaiting his comeback concerts by releasing new music before making his return to the stage.
The Thriller star has announced plans to end his career hiatus with a series of live shows - dubbed "This Is It" - at London's O2 Arena in July. At a press conference last week, The King Of Pop told the press he would be "performing songs the fans wanna hear" at his upcoming residency.
However, the star may have to clear room on his concert set-list for new material - he is headed into the studio to record more music. Randy Phillips, head of concert promoters AEG Live, confirms, "There will be a new Michael Jackson single before the first date. Michael has got some new music and he is looking for a new way of disseminating his material to his fans."

David Williams, guitarist for Michael Jackson, dead. 10-03-'09
The unsung hero behind the recordings of Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, Van Halen, Lionel Ritchie and Madonna, the guitarist David Williams, died last Friday from complications from high blood pressure.
However, despite having played on a huge number of records, including the famed guitar solo on Jackson's breakthrough solo record “Billie Jean”, Williams, who was 58-years-old, was without adequate health insurance.
According to the New York Post, after Williams collapsed, he was taken to Sentara Hospital in Hampton, Virginia, where he slipped into a coma. While he lay in the intensive care unit, hospital officials urged his family to allow them to “pull the plug because he had no medical insurance”.
While the American public wait for their new president to do the right thing and institute a system of free at the point of service health care for his country's citizens, why can't the industry that made millions from the work of people like David Williams make sure that they get the treatment they deserve when they are ill?
Organisations like the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and the so-called Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame are very good at throwing million dollar parties. But how about actually doing something useful for working musicians? [Murray Abisch]

Michael Jackson Makes A Special Call to Jade Goody. 10-03-'09
Jade Goody, the UK reality star who is terminally ill with cancer, was 'blown away' when she received a surprising phone call from Michael Jackson. The pop superstar, who is currently in London for a press release regarding his summer concerts, wanted to visit Goody but was unable to get through to her over the weekend to schedule the visit.
"He wanted to pop in and see her but instead sent her his love and said he was thinking about her", said Goody's publicist Max Clifford. A close friend stated that, "When she [Goody] was told Michael was on the phone her eyes lit up and she mustered all the strength she could to have a chat."
Michael wished her the best and asked if there was anything he could do for her or her family.
Goody appeared as a cast member in 2007 on the reality hit show, Big Brother, with Jermaine Jackson. Upon entering the house during the taping of the show, Jermaine Jackson stated that Michael was a fan of the show and would be watching. He added, "Michael is in Vegas right now, but has a way of seeing everything."

Audigier Talks About Shopping Trip.
08-03-'09
Designer Ed Hardy appeared in an interview on German tv channel RTL and talked about his recent shopping trip with Michael Jackson on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles (USA).
"Michael is one of my dear friends today. So, I helped him to style for the presentation of his new tour in London. I just helped him to pimp him up, you know.
Oh, I believe he actually likes to hang around with me. And I like him, too. He always feels comfortable around me.
And there are worse things than doing a shopping trip with Michael Jackson at night on Rodep Drive. It`s some kind of friendship that has developed, I believe.
It was actually very cool. I was with him in the changing room at Dolce & Gabana. And we were looking at different outfits. And suddenly he starts to dance there in the changing room. That was unbelievable... you see Michael Jackson dancing in his new suit."
Hardy also explained how he got Michael to attend his birthday party:
"I invited him and he came. And when he was there he officially declared me to be the King of Fashion. And if this is said by the King of Pop...of course I was touched."

Michael Attends Oliver! Musical.
07-03-'09
Michael Jackson attended a performance of the musical Oliver! with two of his children in London (UK). However, things got a little out of hand after the show when the large crowds of fans tried to get close to their idol.
The scenes began when Michael Jackson left his hotel, The Lanesborough in Knights bridge. He appeared happy with the warm reception from his fans, smiling and waving at fans, signing autographs and shaking hands before leaving in a minibus.
He then descended on London's Drury Lane to watch the show starring Mr Bean actor Rowan Atkinson, with his two youngest children, Prince Michael II and Paris. At the show, the trio were joined by Michael Jackson's friend Mark Lester, who played Oliver in the original 1968 film.
Reportedly, instead of insisting on a private box, they all sat in the stalls. The crowd scrambled to take pictures, followed by a stern announcement that flash photography was banned.
Michael Jackson clapped along to the performance and according to theatre-goers seemed to know the words to the songs.
Actor Alan Davies was in the crowd, and was astonished to suddenly find himself sat a few seats away from the King Of Pop.
"He was about four seats away all night." He added that Jackson was "loving the show. He applauded a lot at the end, signed a couple of programme's and left. Funny old world."
Editor's note: While we of course understand fans being very happy to see Michael, MJFC kindly asks all fans to take care of the security of Michael Jackson and especially his children.

06-03-'09
Could the news be any better for MJ fans right now? Well, according to Randy Phillips of AEG Live, the news just keeps getting better. Phillips spoke to a CNN reporter today on video and this is what he had to say:
He's gonna do all the hits...the way people want to see it, but with some fabulous new production that we're in the process of designing. But there will be a couple of new songs and some new music, which I've heard, and it's ... spectacular. There's a reason he's Michael Jackson....there's a reason he is the King of Pop!"

AEG Live: Potential Three-year World Tour and Release of New Album? 06-03-'09
While many fans expressed concerns today over Michael Jackson's remarks that "This Is It!" as far as performances in London go, Randy Phillips of AEG Live confirmed to the media that this is likely just the first step in what could evolve into a three-year worldwide tour and the release of a brand new music album. "Surviving the press conference was the first step.
We’ve a three-year plan for Michael Jackson and if it all goes well we will gross $400 million (£280 million) in total." Phillips added that Michael Jackson stands to earn "probably something pretty close to £50 ($70.5) million for the London shows." Future concerts may be held in New York, Paris and Mumbai." Again, only the first 10 concerts in London have been confirmed as of now.
With regards to the concerts themselves, Phillips promises that they will be two-hour "all-singing and all-dancing spectaculars" and gave ticket estimates of £50 ($70.50) to £75 ($105). Due to reportedly high demand, presale information has not yet been made publicly available.
"There is still much more to come from Michael Jackson. My passion for music has never stopped."

WARNING: Beware of Fake Tickets! 05-03-'09
Yes, they are out there already...fake tickets! Fans are being urged not to buy tickets for Michael Jackson's upcoming concerts at the O2 unless they are being sold by official vendors.
Graham Burns, of the UK Association of Secondary Ticket Agents, stated today that,
We are warning people not to buy tickets that are not yet on sale because it is unlikely that they will receive those tickets. It’s impossible when the dates haven’t been announced to be selling tickets for something when there are no announced dates."
So, even though the posters are already going up, please don't purchase tickets until the after the dates have actually been announced. Otherwise, chances are good that you are buying a bogus ticket.

Lawsuit To Stop Auction. 05-03-'09
Michael Jackson has filed a lawsuit against Julien's Auction House to stop the sale of his personal possessions. The lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, claims that Darien Julien, founder of the Auction House, promised to send Jackson an inventory of sale items, but that the singer hasn't given permission to move them all.
The suit also claims that many of the items are "priceless and irreplaceable" and states that the attempt to sell them is "malicious, fraudulent, extreme, outrageous and without any legal justification whatsoever."
Julien had this to say about the lawsuit,
"[It's a] total surprise to us, because Jackson had been apprised of everything since the day we started. His manager ... has approved everything."
The Auction House announced in December that it would hold a five day auction in April that would feature almost 2,000 of Jackson's personal items, including an American Music Award for 'Thriller,' a velvet cape that was given to him by his children for Father's Day in 1998 and a basketball that was signed by 'the other MJ,' Michael Jordan.
Julien also stated that, there was no other intention when they picked up the items but to put them up for sale. He did admit that Jackson's camp had since requested some items be returned, which the firm honoured.
Julien is now in Ireland on a promotional trip and has not been served with the lawsuit but he says that he will be getting in touch with the Jackson camp before deciding what to do next.

Michael Jackson announces 'curtain call' concerts. 05-03-'09
Reclusive pop icon Michael Jackson will perform 10 concerts in London in July in what he described Thursday as a "final curtain call."
Michael Jackson announces the London dates at the O2 Arena.
1 of 2 The summer shows, Jackson's first major live performances in 12 years, will take place at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena from July 8.
Jackson, 50, appeared in front of fans and media at the venue Thursday to announce the "This Is It" shows.
"These will be my final shows performing in London. "This Is It" really means this is it," said Jackson, wearing a trademark black military-style jacket with sparkling embroidery and black sunglasses. Jackson blew kisses and saluted his fans as they chanted "Michael! Michael!"
"I'll be performing the songs my fans want to hear. I'll see you in July and I love you so much." Watch Michael Jackson's announcement »
Tickets for the shows will cost £50-75 ($70-105) and will go on sale on March 13. Fans can pre-register to purchase tickets at MichaelJacksonLive.com.
The O2 Arena has acquired a reputation in recent years for staging "must-see" musical events. Last year it hosted Led Zeppelin's one-off comeback gig and in 2007 Prince staged a 21-night residency there.
Britney Spears, the Pet Shop Boys and Lionel Richie are among performers due to play the venue this year.
Event promoter Rob Hallett welcomed Jackson's return, saying: "We are delighted to facilitate the return of the king of pop, long may he reign! When Michael Jackson performs the eyes of the world will be watching."
Jackson's appearance Thursday was not as slick as some of his signature dance moves.
The star was held up in traffic as he traveled from his central London hotel to the venue on a peninsula of the River Thames in southeast London. An exclusive video that was to be shown before his arrival on stage then failed to play on cue.
Several hundred Jackson fans had waited up to five hours to show their support for their idol.
"I'm quite excited about him coming back," said Lee Gibson, 36. "He's got great songs despite all his issues. It's going to be massive."
Owen Griffiths, 29, said: "It will be interesting to see what he does. If he puts on a good show like he used to do back in the day it will be a turning point for him just like it was for Prince here. If he's playing a greatest hits concert I would definitely pay £50 to see that --- so long as it's "Thriller" and "Off the Wall" only."
Jackson, a child star with the Jackson Five who went onto enjoy stellar solo success with classic albums such as "Thriller" and "Bad," has rarely been seen in public since he was acquitted on child molestation charges in the U.S. in 2005.
Rumours of financial difficulties and health problems -- in 2008 he was photographed being pushed in a wheelchair -- have swirled around the famously eccentric star in recent years.
Last year he sold his iconic Neverland ranch and he has spent much of his time since his acquittal living in Bahrain.
The auction house, Julien's, is selling Jackson's Neverland property including the gates, the singer's famed white-jeweled glove and a stretched Rolls Royce. Watch what Jackson memorabilia is being sold »
Jackson hasn't recorded a studio album since "Invincible" -- his 10th solo record -- in 2001. His last major series of concerts was a world tour to promote the "HiStory" album in 1996 and 1997.
"Thriller," released in 1982 and containing classic Jackson hits such as "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and the title track, is the best selling album of all time. Jackson is estimated to have sold more than 750 million albums in total.

Michael Jackson lands in London. 04-03-'09
Michael Jackson arrived into the UK yesterday (03.03.09) with his three children - Prince Michael, 10, Paris, nine and five-year-old Prince Michael II - in preparation for the 30-date comeback, which is expected to raise the cash-strapped star £150 million.
The 'Thriller' star flew into Luton airport where he was shielded by a team of security guards, before being taken by a white limousine to a hotel in Knights bridge, West London, to prepare for the official announcement tomorrow (05.03.09).
Michael has already exchanged contracts with the 20,000 seat venue and is to reveal the exact dates of the residency at a press conference, as well as possibly confirming a new album.
Tickets for some shows are expected to go on sale soon, with more to follow depending on fan demand.
It is believed the series of concerts will be the only live performances Michael - who has not been to the UK since a disastrous appearance at the 2006 World Music Awards - gives this year.
In 2007, it was reported Michael - whose finances have been dwindling away since his 2005 child molestation case, of which he was acquitted of all charges - was planning to perform at the venue in an effort to solve his money woes.
A source said at the time: "The general consensus is that Michael has the fan base to attract enough people from all over the world to make this a huge success.

Update on John Landis Case. 04-03-'09
As previously reported, John Landis had filed suit against Michael Jackson over the proposed use of the 'Thriller' video in a new Broadway musical. Now, it appears that the director has taken further legal action against the Nederlander Organization.
Landis, who directed both the 'Thriller' video and the very popular 'Making of Michael Jackson's Thriller' video, owns part of the rights to each and claims that he was not consulted when the agreement was made with Nederlander Organization to produce a new Broadway show based on the groundbreaking videos.
Tohme R. Tohme, Jackson's official spokesperson and James L. Nederlander have both been deposed in the case already. The next hearings in the case will take place as follows:

‘Off The Wall’ 30th Anniversary Edition. 03-03-'09
Sony BMG have confirmed that they will be releasing a 30th Anniversary edition of Michael’s classic ‘Off The Wall’ album.
The new expanded album has got an initial release date of August 2009 in the UK, but this is subject to change.
Similar to ‘Thriller 25′ last year, there are plans to include brand new remixes of some of the original tracks as well as unreleased material. In preparation for the release, michaeljackson.com has recently been re-designed with an ‘Off The Wall’ feel.
‘Off The Wall’ was original released in the UK on September 29th, 1979 and in America on August 10th, 1979. The album was Michael’s first solo album with Epic Records after leaving Motown in 1977. It was also his first collaboration with Quincy Jones after meeting him during filming for ‘The Wiz’. ‘Off the Wall’ also became the biggest selling album of all time by a black artist, until that record was smashed by Michael’s next album ‘Thriller’. It is estimated that it has sold over twenty million copies worldwide to date.
As more details of the forthcoming Anniversary Edition are released we will keep you updated.

MJ & Audigier Go Shopping. 01-03-'09
On February 27, 2009 Michael Jackson and designer Christian Audigier (Ed Hardy) went shopping on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles (USA).
Wherever he goes, he draws plenty of attention. And when Michael Jackson decided to do some shopping there were plenty of paparazzi waiting for him.
The “Beat It” singer was joined by uber-hip designer Christian Audigier as he made his rounds at the Dior and Dolce & Gabbana stores. Michael was seen in a long, black coat and a hat pulled down over his face to disguise himself the best he could.
Come April, Jackon will be having an auction at the Beverly Hills Hilton where many different items from his estate will be sold to satisfy his massive debt.
According to a report, there will be life-size statues of Batman, Spider-Man, and Superman. There’s even a molded rubber Batman costume fitted over a replica of the King of Pop, and an original X-Men arcade game.
